To improve the chemical properties of Hydroxyapatite(HA)/Waterborne Polyurethane(WBPU) composite, HA was modified by chemical reactions. First the hydroxyl groups of HA were reacted with Isophorone diisocyanate, Hexamethylene diisocyanate, Methylenediphenyl diisocyanate or Caprolactone. The composite were prepared by prepolymer process and the properties of WBPU composites with functionalized HAs were investigated by thermo gravimetric analysis, tensile strength and water resistance. Thermal stability, water resistance and mechanical properties of the composites films were increased, compared to pristine WBPU and increased with content of functionalized HAs. |
