A series of waterborne polyurethane (WBPU) was synthesized by prepolymer mixing process from 1,6-diisocyanatohexane (HDI), poly(tetramethyleneoxideglycol) (PTMG)/poly(dimethylsiloxane) hydroxy terminated (PDMS) as a polyol, ethylenediamine (EDA) as a chain extender, and hexamethylene diisocyanate cyclic trimer as a cross-linking agent. To obtain the highly flexible shape memory material, the effects of PDMS and hardner contents on the mechenical properties, thermal properties, hardness, shape memory effect and wrinkle resistance of WBPU were investigated. The tensile strength, modulus and hardiness increased with decreasing PDMS contents and with increasing hardner contents. It was found that the shape memory effect was improved by incorparating PDMS and hardner contents in WBPU. |
