제목 |
Sulfonated poly(biphenyl ether) membranes with perfluorocyclobutane(PFCB) groups for fuel cell applications. |
초록 |
We report on the preparation and characterization of sulfonated poly(biphenyl ether) membranes containing fluorinated moieties. PFCB-containing polymers were synthesized and sulfonated using chlorosulfonic acid and then cast into membranes for fuel cell applications. All the synthesized compounds were characterized by FT-IR, 1H-NMR, 19F-NMR, and TGA. Performance of MEA was measured by single cell test, and MEA was prepared by hot pressing method. The sulfonated polymer membranes showed a high performance of MEA comparable to that of Nafion-115 and Nafion-112 membrane. These results indicate that the sulfonated polymer membranes can be promising electrolyte membranes for fuel cells. |
