The diketopyrrolopyrrole (DPP) unit received significant attention given its strong symmetric acceptor with a fused ring which imposes coplanarity and enhancing intermolecular interaction. Therefore, the DPP-based conjugated polymers have come to be considered as highly promising materials for future high performance organic field-effect transistors (OFETs). On the other hand, a few D-A type conjugated small molecules were reported to date. In this work, we designed and synthesized new diketopyrrolopyrrole-based π-conjugated small molecules. Besides the theoretical calculation, absorption spectroscopy, cyclic voltammetry and thermal analysis were employed to characterize their intrinsic materials property. |
