제목 | Acetalization of Aldehydes or Ketones with Alcohols over N-based Porous Organic Polymers (POPs) |
초록 | Porous Organic Polymers (POPs) have been recently gaining interest in gas adsorption and storage and in catalytic application and so on. Since Mid 1960s, POPs have been recognized as organic species capable of behaving as organic reactants under appropriate conditions, to chemical transformations of organic species. Especially, N-functionalized porous organic polymer has been used as for Lewis base catalyst. Here in we report the design and synthesis of Nitrogen functionalized organic polymer prepared under catalyst-free condition. Melamine was used as a nitrogen rich monomer along with its reacting counterpart. Furthermore, melamine-based porous organic polymer was used for acetalization of aldehydes or ketones with alcohols under milder reaction conditions. Availability of a large number of catalytic sites per volume and confined porosity gives enhanced catalytic efficiency and high selectivity towards acetalization of carbonyl compounds. |
