제목 Synthesis and Characterization of Porous TiO2/Multiwalled Carbon Nanotubes Nanocomposites for Photodegradation of Volatile Organic Compounds
초록 In this work, porous TiO2-multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) nanocomposites were prepared by a hydrothermal process after a typical synthesis of amorphous TiO2 spheres. The morphologies of the nanocomposites were confirmed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The crystallization of samples was investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD). The textural properties of samples were examined by N2 adsorption-desorption isotherm at 77 K. The photodegradation efficiency was tested using volatile organic compounds (VOCs) under solar light irradiation. As a result, nanocomposites showed better photocatalytic performance than that of P25, since MWCNTs plays an important role as good electron traps for the retardation of electron-hole recombination. In addition, creation of pore structure of TiO2 improved adsorption properties, leading to increased interaction toward VOCs onto the surface of TiO2/MWCNTs nanocomposites.
