The luminescent solar concentrator (LSC)-assisted photovoltaic (PV) system absorbs light from panels containing photoluminescent materials and transfers the luminescent light to solar cells to produce electricity. Here, since the area of the LSC panel is larger than the area of the solar cell, the light is concentrated. The difference from existing stand-alone solar cells is that it is easy to realize semi-transparent photovoltaics, and therefore application to a building-integrated photovoltaic system is expected. In this study, we introduce PV system through LSC including organic dye. In particular, we introduce the improvement of light harvesting using dual LSC that can absorb light of various wavelengths. |
