Hydrogenolysis of glycerol to propylene glycol over Cu/Zn/Al catalysts |
| 초록 |
Hydrogenolysis of biomass-derived glycerol is an alternative route to sustainable production of propylene glycol. hydrogenolysis of glycerol to propylene glycol was performed using catalysts of various compositions on Cu/Zn/Al catalysts. The physicochemical properties of the catalysts were studied by X-ray diffraction(XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS), NH3 temperature programmed desorption (TPD), BET surface area. The conversion of glycerol with selectivity toward propylene glycol and yield in product was obtained by gas chromatography(GC) measurement. |
