제목 The Anchoring Behavior of Liquid Crystals on the Film Surfaces of New Aromatic Polyimides.
초록 We synthesized a series of new organosoluble polyimides: BBPD-ODA, BBPD-MDA, BBPD-FDA, BTPD-FDA, and BBBPAn-FDA to elucidate the anisotropic interactions between the oriented polymer chain segments and the LC molecules and to define the contribution of the chemical components of polymer segment to the film surface topography, the LC alignment, pretilt, and anchoring energy. To characterize the orientations of the polymer chains produced at different rubbing densities and to identify the contribution of the chemical components of polymer segment to the film surface topography, the LC alignment, pretilt, and anchoring energy, we measured the surface orientational distributions of the main chains of the corresponding PIs using optical retardation analysis and the surface topographies of the PI films were examined using AFM. Furthermore, the pretilt behavior and anchoring energy of the LCs on the PI films were determined
