제목 Photoalignment layer with enhanced pretilt angle by simple directional peel-off
초록 As an alternative of rubbing method, photoalignment has been developed to fabricate an alignment layer for liquid crystal display due to their several merits such as no contamination problem, possibility of multi-domain structure, and low temperature process. However, it is usually accepted that most photoalignment methods result in the low pretilt angle, limiting control of the tilted-up direction. In this work, we demonstrate a simple peel-off of photoreactive oligomer to increase the pretilt angle in liquid crystal device. Photoreactive oligomer allows much higher pretilt angle and shows the effective peel-off phenomenon compared to conventional photocurable polymer.
