제목 Investigation of Hydrophobic Film on Functional Group of Silica Surface
초록 Recently, many studies on functional products such as hydrophobicity, self-cleaning, anti-fogging and anti-ice have been conducted. Among them, hydrophobic effect depends on surface energy and surface roughness. In this study, the silica surface was modified with a functional group capable of imparting hydrophobicity. Then, the film based on modified silica was prepared and its physical properties were measured. First, silica particles are uniformly synthesized through Stöber method. Subsequently, the silica surface was then modified with octadecyl, acrylate and perfulorooctyl using the sol-gel method. After mixing the surface modified silica with a common binder, sonication was performed and the film was prepared by bar coating. As a result of the experiment, the hydrophobic effect was excellent when the silica surface was modified with perfulorooctyl having low surface energy.
