제목 Synthesis of MOF-235 using design of experiment method to remove volatile organic compound
초록 Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are organic-inorganic hybrid crystalline porous materials that are composed of single metal ions or metal clusters linked by polytopic organic ligands. MOFs offer unique structural diversity in contrast to other porous materials, allowing the successful control of framework topology, porosity, and functionality. Among the MOF, MOF-235 is orange octahedral, single crystals in which each iron atom is trivalent, yielding an overall cationic framework synthesized by Yaghi group in 2005 using a solvothermal method. Recently, MOF 235 is a value-added material for the adsorption of organic dye in liquid phase and gases adsorption. In this work, we have synthesized MOF-235 using design of experiment method for removal of VOC, especially toluene in air. After obtaining MOF-235 as a adsorbent with optimization, systematical adsorption experiments have been carried out to determine the desirable MOF-235 material.
