The effects of solverthermal treatment using ethanol on the performance of Pt-Co/Al2O3 catalysts were investigated in Fischer-Trospsch reaction. The catalysts were tested in a fixed-bed reactor under the reaction conditions of Temp.=220oC, P=20bar and space velocity=7000 L/Kg-cat/h. The catalyst treated at 130oC showed enhancement in C5+ selectivity compared to non-treated catalyst while the ones treated above 200oC showed decreases in activity and C5+ selectivity, which is mainly due to the phase transformation of support from γ-Al2O3 to boehmite. These differences in FTS activities were elucidated by the results of BET, XRD, SEM, TPR and H2-Chemisortion. |
