The concern with plasmonic nanostructure of noble metals for biological sensing has been growing for the last few decades since the structure enables us to manipulate light at small wavelength scale. Surface plasmon resonance (SPR) of metal nanostructure can be tailored by controlling geometrical conditions. Especially, various gold nanostructures mainly represent absorption bands in visible wavelength region. Also, gold nanoshell shows very unique properties to tune the resonance frequency by varying the relative dimensions of the silica core and gold shell, resulting in optical resonance up to NIR region. In this study, we have developed the hybrid of gold nanoparticle and gold nanoshell and explored the SPR combination resulting from the nanostructures. The structure will allow us to obtain the nanostructure with plasmon coupling of visible and NIR region. The strategy will pave the way to realize multiple biodetection on high throughput biochips employing various target materials. |
