The phase transitions for the mixtures of PS-b-PMMA and homopolystyrenes (PS) were studied via small-angle x-ray scattering (SAXS) and the depolarized light scattering. From a nearly symmetric PS-b-PMMA, having an order-to-disorder temperature (TODT), the changes of transition temperature upon adding PS were observed, in which the molecular weight was controlled. Four kinds of PS, having α = 0.3, 0.5, 1, and 2 with respect to the PS chain length of PS-b-PMMA, were prepared to observe the molecular weight dependence on transition temperatures. In this study, the weak temperature dependence on χ between two components may provide a clue to temperature dependence of d-spacing, as opposed to those for polystyrene-b-polyisoprene (PS-b-PI)/homopolymers with strong temperature dependence on χ.([email protected]) |
