Mixing characteristics of lard and canola mixed oil in the biodiesel production |
초록 |
The raw materials of biodiesel are vegetable oil, animal fat and waste cooking oil. Animal fat is excellent compared to vegetable oil in oxidation stability and has advantages of a high cetane number and heating value. However, because it contains a lot of saturated fatty acids compared to vegetable oil, it has a shortcoming why it exists as a solid at room temperature. Therefore, in this study, biodiesel having superior performance was produced using a mixed oil which blends animal fat and vegetable oil. By adjusting the ratio of saturated fatty acids and unsaturated fatty acids mixed in a cetain percentage(1:9~9:1) of lard and canola oil, the optimum mixing ratio for the production of biodiesel having the best performance is determined. As this experiments were performed in some variables which were alcohol/mixed oil reaction molar ratio(6~15), the reaction time and temperature of the methanolysis and ethanolysis were set to 60min/55℃ and 80min/65℃, respectively. |
