2D materials have been studied increasingly as a platform for membrane or window materials due to outstanding mechanical strength and chemical stability. For example, suspended graphene has been used as a supporting film for transmission electron microscopy (TEM) analysis due to transparency to electron beam. Also, the excellent thermal and electrical conductivity of graphene can minimize damage by electron beam and enable atomic-resolution TEM analysis. Therefore, it is obvious that graphene as transparent vessel enables in situ measurement of what happens during reaction in the liquid cells by TEM and improve the analytical capabilities of materials such as polymers and DNAs which are difficult to be analyzed by TEM. In here, we developed graphene transparent vessel, where dopamine is inserted, and characterized morphology of dopamine in graphene transparent vessels and polydopamine in graphene transparent vessel and properties their structures.
