An epock-making discovery of visible light photocatalysts based on nitrogen doped TiO2 (TiO2-XNx) was made by the present author. Since visible light photocatalysts became popular on the market for such applications as textile fabrics, glasses, wallpaper, artificial flower and tooth whitening. In this paper, critical review will be first given on the present status of research and development of visible light photocatalysts. Market trends in the future of photocatalyts industry will be discussed. |
