Water or alocohol-soluble conjugated polymers have been employed as electron-injection materials in polymer light-emitting devices. In this research, a polyfluorene derivative containing quaternary ammonium groups was developed in order to test its role as the electron injection material. The chemical and optical properties of polymer were investigated by FT-IR, FT-NMR, UV-visible spectroscopy, photoluminescence emission spectroscopy, cyclic voltammetry. Energy levels of HOMO and LUMO of the polymer were also estimated. The polymer was dissolved in an alcohol solvent, and spin-coated on an emissive polymer layer. The experimental results will be presented in detail. |
