Synthesis and Photovoltaic Application of Hole-Transporting Oligomeric Electrolyte |

A hole-transporting oligomeric electrolyte (TPAF) of triphenylamine and fluorene was successfully synthesized under microwave irradiation via Heck coupling reaction in a relatively high yield with simple purification. The coplanar conformation formed through π-conjugated bridges between triphenylamine and fluorene enhances hole transporting capability over each individual component, such as triphenylamine and fluorene. The photovoltaic performance of solar cells fabricated using TPAF as a hole-transporting layer was carefully investigated and compared to that of other solar cells with widely-used PEDOT:PSS. |
