제목 Effects of Blowing Agents on the Properties of Polyurethane Foams
초록 Rigid polyurethane foams (PUF) were prepared from polyether polyols, polymeric 4,4’-diphenylmethane diisocyanate (PMDI) having functionality of 2.9, distilled water as blowing agent, amine catalysts, and silicone surfactant. When the OH value of trifunctional polyols increased from 290 to 670, the density of the PUF samples increased from 116.1 to 129.2 kg/m3 at 1.0 php water content. When the OH value of trifunctional polyols increased from 290 to 670, the compressive strength of the PUF samples increased from 0.92 to 1.48 MPa at 1.0 php water contents. When the functionality of polyols with OH values of 400 increased from 3 to 4, the compressive strength of the PUF samples increased from 1.17 to 1.26 MPa at 1.0 php water content. But when the functionality of polyols with OH values of 490 increased from 4~5 to 6, the flexural strength of PUF samples decreased from 2.19 to 1.82 MPa at 1.0 php water content. The reactivity of forming PUF increased with an increase in catalyst and water contents. The compressive strength, and glass transition temperature of PUF increased with an increase in NCO Index, in spit of a little increase of density, because of an increase in degree of crosslinking of PUF.
