제목 Effect of chain length of alkyl amine for superhydrophobic amine-functionalized graphite oxide film
초록 The wettability of a solid surface is an important property of materials in industrial and environmental applications. Superhydrophobic surfaces with water contact angles larger than 150o have found numerous potential practical applications, such as self-cleaning surfaces, prevention of the adhesion of snow. The water contact angle on a smooth surface of a hydrophobic material is typically in the order of 100 to 120o, but can reach values higher than 150o with roughness or micro/nano-structures. In this study, we demonstrate to synthesize superhydrophobic GO films by functionalizing GO with various alkyl amine group. Amine groups has a long hydrocarbon chain, which will amine-functionalized grapheme has lower surface energy. The amine-graphene films exhibit an enhanced surface roughness, which is essential for its superhydrophobicity. Superhydrophobic surfaces based on amine-graphene can be obtained by various methods, suggesting the potential application in superhydrophobic coating.
