제목 | Synthesis and Thermoelectric Properties of SnzCo4Sb11.2Te0.8 |
초록 | SnzCo4Sb11.2Te0.8 skutterudites [1,2] were synthesized varying the filling content (z) and their thermoelectric properties were investigated from 300K to 700K. Single δ-phase was successfully obtained by the subsequent heat treatment at 773K for 5 days. Intrinsic CoSb3 showed the n-type conduction from 300K to 400K but the conductivity type was changed to the p-type above 400K. Sn-filled/Te-doped SnzCo4Sb11.2Te0.8 showed the n-type conduction at all temperatures examined, indicating that Te atoms acted as electron donors by substituting Sb atoms. Thermal conductivity was considerably reduced by filling and doping due to the phonon scattering. Sn filling and Te doping effects will be examined compared in this study.
