Solution-based deposition of Cu2ZnSnS4 (CZTS) thin film is generally composed of two steps, coating of CZTS precursor solution and sulfurization of the coated CZTS precursor thin films. The sulfurization of CZTS precursors is a crucial factor for determining the photovoltaic properties of CZTS solar cells because the crystalline structure and morphology of CZTS thin films are closely related with the sulfurization condition. In this study, CZTS precursor thin films were obtained from a sol-gel precursor which consists of copper, zinc, tin, and thiourea. The spin coating process was used to prepare CZTS precursor thin films followed by pre-annealing treatment. The CZTS precursor thin films were sulfurized at atmospheric pressure in a two zone furnace at various temperatures. We observed the change of the grain size, morphology, chemical composition, and the electrical properties of CZTS thin films on various sulfurization temperatures. |
