Recently, zinc oxide (ZnO) materials, which have a large surface area with high electron transport properties and wide band gap, have attracted much attention for dye-sensitized solar cells. In this work, the porous ZnO submicron spheres were synthesized by using pH-responsive hydrogel microspheres. The cross-linking density of the hydrogel template is important factor to control the surface area of the porous ZnO submicron spheres. The particle morphologies, internal structures and photonic properties were characterized by scanning electron spectroscopy (SEM), focused ion beam SEM, UV-vis spectroscopy and photoluminescence. |
