We report high-performance large area module solar cell based on the blend of regioregular poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT) and phenyl-C61-butyric acid methyl ester (PC61BM). Instead of singe large-area cell due to high resistance of ITO electrode, the module system is made by three sub cell with a conventional structure, which are connected in series, resulting in VOC = 1.87 V. To achieve high geometrical fill factor (GFF), flexible fabric materials with diameter of several micrometer, was introduced in process of electrode separation and thereby inactive area was dramatically reduced to have GFF ~82% in effective active area (10.80 cm2). Furthermore, Titianium subsoxide (TiOx) layer was introduced between active layer and Al electrode, which serve as a hole blocking layer and optical spacer to enhance current density. Finally, we achieved power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 2.41% with under Air Mass 1.5 irradiation (100mW/cm2). |
