Evaluation of Absorbents for the Treatment of Infectious Body Fluids |
| 초록 |
Body fluids are the liquids wastes from hospitals containing blood, bone chips, and human tissues. Solidification of these fluids using superabsorbent polymer is one way of treatment. We evaluated two kinds of commercial superabsorbent polymers with rheological methods. The changes of storage and loss moduli in time are observed with a rheometer and we could set a criterion for the solidification of superabsorbent polymers. And flow properties under pressure were evaluated by the method similar to ASTM melt flow index (MFI) test. |
