제목 | Tannin-based nanoparticles for drug delivery and biosensing |
초록 | Tannin derivatives have emerged as nano-carriers of therapeutic agents due to anti-oxidant, anti-radical, and anti-cancer properties in addition to high drug loading efficiency. Herein, we employed tannin as a molecular glue that links hydrophilic poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) and hydrophobic anticancer drugs to form therapeutic nanoparticles. The synthesis of nanoparticles was simple; vigorous mixing of PEG in water and tannin/drug in ethanol produced nanoparticles through intermolecular assembly via hydrogen bonding and π-π stacking. The synthesized particles showed high drug loading efficiency and pH-responsive release profile. In addition, antibodies could also simply complex with tannin without additives, enabling targeted therapeutic delivery and biosensing applications. **This work was carried out with the support of “Cooperative Research Program for Agriculture Science and Technology Development (Project No. PJ01323201)” Rural Development Administration, Republic of Korea. |
