제목 Enhanced Hydrogen Sulfide Adsorption on Zinc Oxide/Graphene Composite at Moderate Temperature
초록 Composites of Zinc oxide (ZnO) with reduced graphite oxide (rGO) were synthesized and used as adsorbents for hydrogen sulfide (H2S) at 300°C. Microwave-assisted reduction process of graphite oxide (GO) provides a mild reduction environment, allowing oxygen-containing functional groups to remain on the rGO surface. Those oxygen functional groups are anchoring metal oxide and enhance the metal oxide dispersion on rGO substrate. Highly dispersed active zinc species on the surface of the composite with rGO dramatically enlarge the active surface area of ZnO for H2S molecules and prevent metal/metal oxide particles aggregation. It was found that the ZnO/rGO composite showed almost four times higher ZnO utilization efficiency than ZnO itself.
