Characterization of the microporous HDPE film with stearyl alcohol by strertching temperature |

The effects of the stretching temperature on the properties of the high density polyethylene(HDPE) membranes were investigated. Stearyl alcohol and dibuthyl phthalate(DBP) were premixed as a codiluent. And then, the HDPE and the codiluent were mixed to obtain the precursor film in the twin extruder. The precursor films were uni-axially stretched up to 600% in a bath 23~120℃. The pores of the codiluent mixed HDPE film were affected by the stretching temperature.The morphological changes of the samples were observed using a scanning electron microscope.Also, the porosity was measured with a mercury porosimeter. When the condition of the stretching temperature of the codiluent mixed HDPE film was fixed at 80℃, we obtained the highest porosity. |
