Preparation and capacitance properties of graphene composite electrodes containing inorganic manganese dioxide nanoparticles |

Manganese Dioxide (MnO2)/Reduced graphene oxide(RGO) composites were prepared by a facile solvothermal synthesis. The improved electrochemical performance is obtained by both the MnO2 nanoparticle (100~200nm) that offer large accessible surface area and the hydrous functional groups on reduced graphene oxide that facilitate transport of electrolyte ion and electron. These MnO2/RGO composites with high specific capacitance are promising electrode materials for supercapacitors. Electrochemical behaviors were characterized by cyclic voltammetry (CV) and Galvanostatic charge-discharge Test in 1M Na2SO4 aqueous electrolyte. The MnO2/RGO composites exhibited higher specific capacitance than the original component. The structure, morphology of the composites was examined by Scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) and FT-IR spectroscopy. |
