Composite materials of multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWNT) purified by acidic solution and PMMA were fabricated via in-situ dispersion polymerization. Poly(vinyl pyrrolidone) (PVP), 2,2-azobisisobutyronitrile (AIBN), and methanol were used as polymeric stabilizer, initiator and dispersion medium, respectively. The particle size and shape of the MWNT/PMMA composite were observed by optical microscopy (OM) and scanning electron microscope (SEM). In addition, the inter structure of particle and composition were measured by transmission electron microscope (TEM) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), respectively. The electrical conductivity of the synthesized PMMA/MWNT composite particles were characterized with a resistivity meter by using the compressed pellet of particles. |
