제목 Synthesis and Thermal Properties of Ethylene/E-Si-POSS Copolymer
초록 In this study, the copolymerization of ethylene and (diphenylvinylsilyoxy) heptacyclopentylpentacyclooctasiloxane(E-Si-POSS) have been performed with rac-Et(Ind)2ZrCl2 in conjunction with methylaluminoxane. The unreacted POSS monomer was removed by n-hexane washing. And the copolymers have been characterized with FT-IR, 1H and 13C NMR, gel permeation chromatography, differential scanning calorimetry and thermogravimetric analysis. Thermogravimetric analysis of the copolymers under both nitrogen and air shows the improved thermal stability with higher degradation temperatures. In addition, we also studied the difference in copolymerization behaviors between E-Si-POSS and E-POSS copolymers.
