제목 Graphitic Carbon Nitride (g-C3N4) as a Heterogeneous Photocatalyst for Decarboxylative Fluorination
초록 Heterogeneous photocatalyst has gained much attention in photocatalysis field as a sustainable strategy for utilizing solar energy to chemistry. As compared to traditional photoredox chemistry by molecular catalysts, it has great merit due to its recyclability, and stability.
Among other semiconductor photocatalysts, graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4) has attracted much attention for recent decades due to its mild band gap which corresponds to visible light range. Whereas light-mediated water splitting, H2 evolution and N2 fixation are successfully reported using g-C3N4, there remains a need for applying this heterogeneity to organic synthesis for fine chemicals. Herein, photocatalyzed decarboxylative fluorination was conducted in mild condition using g-C3N4. Photocatalytic activity of g-C3N4 in this reaction was confirmed and the reaction condition showed as optimal with the use of proper solvent and base.
