In modern society, bone-related diseases are attracting considerable research attentions due to increasing occurrence frequency. Demand on synthetic scaffold that can provide appropriate mechanical support and accelerate bone regeneration is rapidly increasing. Recently, biodegradable polymers are frequently used for the preparation of bone substitute scaffolds. In this study, we performed surface modification of PCL and examined its feasibility for the induction of optimal osteoblast responses. The physicochemical properties were analyzed including SEM, UV-visible spectrophotometer, and FTIR. In addition, proliferation and differentiation of osteoblast were evaluated. This research was supported by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy(MOTIE), KOREA, through the Education Program for Creative and Industrial Convergence. (Grant Number N0000717) |
