제목 | Synthesis and characterization of anion LDH/PET nanocomposites by using in-situ polymerization |
초록 | The layered double hydroxide (LDH) are a family of compounds with increasing interest in the last few years, because of their applications as catalysts, ion exchangers, adsorbents, ceramic precursors, and organic-inorganic nanocomposites1-3. LDHs consist of positively charged brucite-like layers, where a partial substitution of divalent cations by trivalent cations has taken place, and anions in interlayers for electric neutrality. Apart from their use as various applications, the LDH attract attention because they are considered antitypes of three-layer clay minerals. The charge of the layers and the interlayer ions are the reverse of that in common clay minerals. In the past 20 years, many reports about the intercalation of organic anions into LDHs have been published4. However, relatively few reports have discussed the incorporation of polymers into LDHs. In particular, the application and properties of these LDHs/polymer nanocomposites have been relatively seldom reported. In this study, the LDH was modified by intercalation with DMSI to increase compatibility between inorganic LDH and organic polymer matrix, and then PET/anionic LDH nanocomposites were synthesized using in-situ two-step polycondensation method. Finally, thermal and mechanical properties of nanocomposites were investigated. 1. B. Sels, D.D. Vos, M. Buntinx, F. Pierard, A.K. Mesmaeker, P. Jacobs, Nature, 400, 855 (1999) 2. S.K Yun, T.J.
