In this work, poly (ε-caprolactone) (PCL) microcapsules containing drug-adsorbed silica were prepared by a solvent evaporation method. To control the drug release rate from PCL microcapsules, we added silica to microcapsules as a drug adsorbent. The drug release behavior of PCL microcapsules were investigated as a function of silica content. The morphology and particle size of microcapsules were observed by scanning electron microscope (SEM). The structures of drug and microcapsules were determined by X-ray diffraction (XRD). Also, the drug loading and encapsulation efficiency of the microcapsules were determined by a UV-vis spectrometer. |
