Since being introduced by Grӓtzel in 1991, dye-sensitized solar cells (DSCs) have been received great attention of scientists due to their advantages of low cost, simple fabrication, and friendly to environment. After developed for two decades, the working theory, application and optimization of DSCs had achieved great development. DSCs were divided by two major types, one is n-type DSCs of which highest result surpassed 13% and the other, which had just reached the best result of 2.51% is p-type DSCs. The combination of both n-type and p-type had leaded to the new kind of device, the tandem dye-sensitized solar cells (TDSCs). In the working function of DSCs, the sensitizers kept the significantly important role. In this study, DCA8CN2 used as n-type sensitizers had applied on TiO2 layer to observe the effect of p-type sensitizers having different absorption wavelengths. |
