Nitrogen-containing aromatic compounds have significant importance in the field of material science and pharmaceutical industries due to their good physical properties and biological activities. In recent years, Carbazole and its derivatives have been extensively found in applications to drugs and optoelectronic materials. While many efforts to synthesize the Carbazole derivatives have been continued, it is still challenging to construct C-N bond under mild reaction conditions. However, the C-H amination can be solved by using photocatalysis techniques. Among the various photocatalysts, plasmonic nanoparticles can be one of the promising photocatalysts because of their great ability to absorb in the visible light region. In this study, we successfully synthesized Carbazole derivatives by inducing the intramolecular C-H amination of N-substituted aminobiphenyls using only Au nanoparticles and light. And, we also investigated the substituent effect of functional groups on C-H amination. |
