The copper-zinc (CuZn) nanofiber was prepared by electrospinning. CuZn/PVP (polyvinylpyrrolidone) precursor solution was made by copper sulfate and zinc acetate in distilled water. The PVP was working as controlling the viscosity of the precursor solution. The electrospinning system consisted of three parts; syringe pump, collector, and power supply. The distance of syringe needle to collector was 16 cm and the high voltage was applied was 18.1 kV. And the prepared CuZn/PVP nanofiber was heated at 353K to dry the nanofiber composites. And then it was calcinated at 973K to remove the PVP. The prepared CuZn nanofiber was characterized with X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) for investigation of chemical composition, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) for morphologies, and X-ray diffraction (XRD) for characterization of the crystallinity of CuZn nanofiber. |
