제목 SPECTROSCOPIC CHARACTERIZATION OF COPPER OXIDE (CuOx) THIN FILMS GROWN BY SPUTTERING FOR ORGANIC SOLAR CELL APPLICATIONS
초록 Copper oxide thin films were deposited by rf magnetron sputtering with copper target in an argon and oxygen atmosphere and examined the effects of rf power and oxygen flow rate on the films. The obtained films were characterized with X-ray diffraction (XRD), four points probe, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The trend of sheet resistance was almost identical at 100 and 200 W of rf powers. In XRD, the preferential orientation and phase of Cu oxide was changed from Cu2O(200) to Cu2O(111) and CuO(111). In XPS, The oxidation states of Cu changed from 0 to 1 then to 2 by the different oxygen flow rates and rf powers. Organic solar cell (OSC) with p-type copper oxide thin films as a hole transport layer were fabricated by spin-coating process for an active layer such as [6,6,]-phenyl-C61 butyric acid methyl ester (PCBM) and poly (3-hexylthiophen) (P3HT). The power conversion efficiency of the OSC was achieved up to 2 % with AM 1.5 mW/cm2 illumination.
