Fabrication of Inverted organic solar cells by fully spray deposition |

Organic solar cells(OSCs) have attracted much attention due to their potential for ultralow cost roll-to-roll manufacturing on flexible substrates. Mostly OSCs layers are fabricated by spin coating; this method is not appropriate for large-area deposition. Spray deposition, a commonly used method for OSC fabrication offers an efficient means to construct polymer films because of no-limitation in substrate size and low utilization of polymers. In this article, we fabricated inverted organic solar cells(IOSCs) by fully spray coating. ZnO layer, P3HT:PCBM active layer and PEDOT:PSS layer thin films were deposited by spray deposition and spin-coating. The IOSCs fabricated by fully spray-coating method shows similar performances with that of spin-coating method. In the spray coating process, the power conversion efficiency (PCE) was obtained 3.21% at an effective photocurrent generated area of 0.38 cm2 under AM.1.5 simulated illumination. |
