제목 Synthesis of Liquid Crystalline Epoxy Thermosets Bearing Cyanobiphenyl Mesogenic Groups in the Side Chain of Molecule.
초록 Liquid crystalline epoxies (LCEs) have been focused as thermoset resins with high thermal conductivity. In this work, we synthesized novel LCE series by introducing cyanobiphenyl mesogenic moieties into 2,5-position of diglycidyl terephthalate. Mesomorphic properties of the novel LCEs were measured by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), polarized optical microscopy (POM). The LCE series displayed an enantiotropic phase transition on heating and cooling procedures. In the poster section, we will discuss more detailed synthetic methods, characterization of the LCE series and their thermal properties.
