제목 Effects of Ionic Liquid Molecules in Hybrid Quantum Dot-Organic Solar Cells
초록 We have demonstrated the realization of high performance hybrid quantum dot-organic solar cells (HyQD-OSCs) using the PbS colloidal nanoparticles and Phenyl-C61-butyric acid methyl ester (PCBM) with ionic liquid molecules (ILMs) which consists of 1-benzyl-3-methylimidazolium cations and chloride anions. The inserted ILMs layer between PbS and PCBM shifts the band edge of PCBM closer to the vacuum level of PbS because of spontaneously oriented dipole. Therefore, the enhanced device performances, open circuit voltage (VOC) of 0.30 V to 0.50 V, fill factor (FF) of 0.33 to 0.46, and power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 0.56% to 1.20% were achieved compared to reference device. This interface engineering offers the overcoming low VOC in quantum dot solar cells to achieve high performance of PCE.
