제목 UV-Curable Waterborne Primers for Aluminum-Polycarbonate Interfaces
초록 Organic-Inorganic hybrid primer molecules based on vinyltrimethoxysilane(VTMS) and waterborne polyurethane acrylate(WPUA) have been designed and synthesized. WPUA preploymers having two different molecular weight with three different types of polyol, i.e., poly(propylene glycol)(PPG), poly(tetramethylene glycol)(PTMG) and polycaprolactone diol(PCL)) have been synthesized and tested for various properties. PPG gave the smallest particle size whereas PCL gave the highest tensile strength of WPUA. It was found that the optimum immersing time of aluminum panel in phosphoric acid solution was 180 s, by the time most of the OH groups for reacting with VTMS by sol-gel reaction are exposed to the surface of aluminum panel. The completion of sol-gel reaction was confirmed by FT-IR-ATR and XPS. The WPUA was chemically incorporated with VTMS on aluminum panel by UV-curing. WPUA based on PCL showed the greatest adhesion strength among the three different types of polyol.
