제목 Fabrication of the coatable polarizer by using the photo-polymerizable lyotropic liquid crystals
초록 Robust coatable polarizer is successfully fabricated by photo-polymerizing processes of self-assembled lyotropic liquid crystals (LLCs). Based on the POM observations, a ternary phase diagram of lyotropic liquid crystal phase is also built at room temperature by varying the concentration of the Sunset Yellow FCF/Acrylic Acid/H2O. The molecular arrangements in the oriented LLC films were confirmed by 2D WAXD, SAED and polarized FT IR. The photo-polymerized LLC films show good chemical and mechanical stabilities with high polarizability. Additionally, patterned coatable polarizer fabricated by a simple photo-lithographic method may provide more advantages for novel applications of LLC to electro-optic devices.
