Preparation and characterization of carbon nanotube-filled carbon paper for gas diffusion layer |

In this work, we prepared the carbon nanotube-filled carbon paper from pitch based carbon fibers for the gas diffusion layers (GDL) in polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells (PEMFC) by wet processing. The morphologies were observed by scanning electron spectroscopy (SEM). The thermal behaviors examined by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) measurements. The electric resistivity of carbon paper was measured using surface resistance analyzer. The synthesized carbon nanotube-filled carbon paper enhanced electric resistivity. Our results indicate that these materials can be advantageously used for the GDL in PEMFC |
