제목 Inhibition of Hydrocarbon For Alcohol Production over Cu-Supported Catalysts
초록 World energy consumption has reached unprecedented levels during the past century, and is still highly dependent on natural resources, such as petroleum, natural gas, and coal. The production of renewable fuels such as alcohols, including ethanol in particular, has received considerable attention in recent years for use in automobiles, chemical additives, and as a potential source of hydrogen for fuel cells. Cu supported catalysts on activated carbon and ZnO2 have been conveniently prepared by incipient wetness. The catalysts have been characterized by XRD, SEM, and gas sorption analysis, showing a quite homogeneous Cu particle. Alcohol amounts were measured on the variance of gas space velocities and pressures, confirming the inhibition effect of hydrocarbon through GCMASS
