제목 Photovoltaic performance of dye-sensitized solar cell using carbon nanotubes as a counter electrode
초록 The electrochemical properties of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) for dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC) were studied. Thermal chemical vapor deposition (CVD) was utilized for the synthesis of CNTs using a Fe catalyst on p-type Si substrate. The growth conditions of the CNTs for electrodes were optimized by adjusting C2H2 flow rate and growth time. The electrochemical properties were measured by Impedance spectroscopy and the structural properties of CNTs were investigated by field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and Raman spectroscopy. It was found that samples with fine CNTs had good structural properties and high impedance value. Samples with relatively large diameter CNTs were shown poor structural properties and low impedance value. The sample with large diameter CNTs showed an efficiency of about 3% at AM 1.5 global 0.1 sun, which was the highest conversion efficiency of all others. As a result, the CNTs could be considered as an excellent candidate for the counter electrode for DSSC based on our experimental results.
