제목 Toward High Efficiency Photovoltaics with Enhanced Long-term Stability Utilizing Block Copolymer Additives
초록 Organic Solar Cells (OSCs) have drawn extensive attention due to huge potentials such as low cost and flexibility, but remain relatively low in power conversion efficiency, typically 3% for a cell based on a blend of poly 3-hexylthiophene (P3HT) and phenyl-C61-butyric acid methyl ester (PCBM). In this study, we demonstrate the enhanced performance of the OSCs by manipulating the morphology of P3HT:PCBM active layer using P3HT-b-P3PHT block copolymer as surfactant. The block copolymer reduces surface roughness and microphase separation between P3HT and PCBM which improves the power conversion efficiency up to 3.6%. In addition, devices using P3HT-b-P3PHT block copolymer exhibit long-termed operating lifetime at high temperature which remains cell’s performance for 5 h at 150°C.
